Bohrium is a highly radioactive metal with a half life of 2.4 minutes (Bohrium 270). Though unconfirmed, in theory the isotope Bohrium 278 may have a slightly longer half-life of 11.5 minutes. Bohrium was first confirmed to be synthesized in 1981 by a team at the German nuclear research institute (GSI).
Because of its high radioactivity, Bohrium doesn't have many uses outside of scientific research.
